Announcement from the Berkeley Family
It is with heavy hearts that we have to inform you that Mr John Berkeley died on Thursday 2nd November. He adored the Gardens and was often mistaken for one of the gardeners as he beavered away in the herbaceous borders, weeding and planting. He followed a long line of dedicated horticulturalists who gave their every working minute to ensuring that the Gardens could be enjoyed by countless generations. His legacy will outlive us all and the Berkeley Family would like to thank everyone, whether they were connected with or who visited the Gardens, for giving him so much pleasure in knowing his gardens were enjoyed by all.
Please note, the Gardens are now closed to visitors and will re-open on 28 March 2018.
